Cresco, IA | Rushford, MN (3:30 p.m. Sept. 23, 2021)— Scams seem to always be in season. Today, MiEnergy Cooperative was notified by a member from Peterson, Minn. about a telephone scam regarding their electric account. The scammer threatened to disconnect their electricity if they didn’t pay $400. Fortunately, the member was skeptical and hung up. Local authorities have been contacted.
